Mark Lambert, the GLO Senior Deputy Director for Heritage, will speak about their incredible new book: "Texas Takes Shape: A History in Maps from the General Land Office". His talk, “From Austin’s Beginnings to an O. Henry Ending, Maps and the Old Land Office Building” will focus on the maps that were drawn or archived in the Capitol Visitors Center when it was the General Land Office between 1858 and 1916.
