What happens when communities come together to better understand and address homelessness?

At Compassion in Action: Health, Data, and Hope in Navarro County, THN’s Ava Paredes shared insights from the Point-in-Time Count, while Jen Beardsley led an interactive activity illustrating the challenges people face when navigating a fragmented service system.

Together, they highlighted how Local Homeless Coalitions bring service providers together to share resources, coordinate support and ensure people experiencing homelessness don’t have to navigate the system alone.

Fort Worth, thank you for sharing your voice on the Road to 2027!

32 participants representing 23 organizations and entities came together to discuss what their communities need to better address homelessness, from housing and mental health resources to prevention efforts and support for people transitioning out of jails, hospitals and mental health facilities.

Each conversation helps us better understand the challenges communities are facing and the solutions they want to see reflected in THN’s priorities for the 2027 Texas Legislative Session.

Next stop: San Antonio!

Correction: We previously shared that Union Gospel Mission hosted our Fort Worth Road to 2027 roundtable. We’d like to clarify that Partnership Home coordinated with THN over several months and provided funding to make the event possible, while Union Gospel Mission generously provided the venue. We apologize for the oversight and thank both organizations for their support!

A huge thank you to the Texas Homeless Network staff who made the 2026 Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness possible!

“One of the most important things about planning a conference is the people that are involved in it. THN is so dedicated and enthusiastic about making this conference great. Sometimes, a one-time cost is all that stands between a family and permanent housing.

For Rachel and her son, THN’s Innovation Fund helped cover outstanding rent, a security deposit and prorated rent so they could move into a home their family can sustainably afford.

Through Housing Solutions, THN is expanding the ways communities can say yes to families in crisis.
