Big Bend is a place of immense beauty and history. One that should be protected and preserved for future generations of Texans to enjoy, marvel at, and love, just as generations of Texans before us have.

Bulldozing and disturbing Big Bend will do nothing to stop illegal immigration. It will only damage one of Texas’ greatest treasures.

Thankful to the landowners and law enforcement officers I had the opportunity to hear from, including Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland, to discuss border policy and public safety, and to walk the open spaces that so many of us Texans love.

Congratulations to Dallas County on the ribbon-cutting and open house of the Esperanza Community Center at Dobie Local Government Corporation!

This 77,000-square-foot former school has been given new life and purpose, bringing essential wraparound services under one roof to support Dallas residents and families.

Thank you to the Dallas County Commissioners, Dallas City Councilmembers, and all the organizations and partners who helped make this center a reality.
