Happy first day of Early Voting!! From today, June 29th, to July 10th, you can early vote in-person ! We encourage everyone who is voting in-person for the Primary Runoff Election to early vote and avoid possible lines!
-Some counties require voters to go to a specific polling station to vote (based on their home address' location) and some, like Travis County (Austin) let voters go to any polling station they'd like to vote. Be sure you double-check which situation your county falls under!
-What is Acceptable Voter ID in Texas? The most common for UT students are a Texas Driver's License (for TX residents) or a passport (for out-of-staters). See the options in the graphic attached! If a voter cannot acquire one of these for whatever reason, they can fill out a reasonable impediment form at the polls with additional documentation/proof of residence (see graphic).
--- Want to be an informed voter? Go to vote411.org and get your personalized ballot and nonpartisan voter education before voting! You cannot use your phone in the polling station so be sure you print or write down your options and information to bring with you to the polls!
Have fun voting! Let us know if you or any of your members have questions!
