Censure is little more than political theater, and not even especially entertaining theater at that. Ted Cruz didn't start the disinformation frenzy or the incitement of violence. But when he saw opportunity, Cruz jumped on board hoping to capitalize on it.
The last time the Senate expelled senators was in 1862. Fourteen senators were expelled for supporting the confederate rebellion. Now is not the time for half measures. Now is the time for us to remember our history and act accordingly in the face of those who would undermine our country.
