Join Abilities Unite for their next art class on November 20th!

Projects are designed to provide individuals with disabilities the ability to create art with minimal assistance, encourage independence, and ensure creativity is their own. We ask that parents, caregivers, and/or direct support professionals stay during the art class to provide additional assistance as needed. (Please note, parents and direct support professionals are not permitted to register for the class.)

Congratulations to Mark Hatcher on his 5th year anniversary working at the Arby's in Canfield! He was recognized at the MCBDD board meeting last night with an award from Superintendant Bill Whitacre. Mark's job coach Erick was there to support him.

MCBDD staff gives back when they can, and last week we joined 360 volunteers from 22 organization and schools at the Canfield Fairgroundss to pack 176,886 meals for the needy. The event was organized by Direction Home and the meals went to Gleaners Foodbank, MYCAP, Heart Reach Ministries and United Way. MCBDD volunteers -- and some from the Commissioners' Office -- filled the soup orders. Thanks everyone! You are the best!
