🎃👻 JUST A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AWAY! 👻🎃

Independence Township’s recommended trick-or-treat time is Saturday, October 31, from 4:00–7:00 PM! 🍬🧡

With lots of fun trunk-or-treat events happening around our community this weekend, it’s a great time to get out and enjoy the festivities, and remember that safety always comes first — especially for our young trick-or-treaters! 🧡

🚸 A few important safety reminders:
🎃 Make sure costumes fit properly to prevent trips and falls.
🔦 Wear bright colors or reflective gear and carry a flashlight when needed.
👨‍👩‍👧 Accompany young children and use the buddy system for older kids.
🚦 Look both ways, watch for traffic, and never let children dart across the street.
🍬 Check all candy before allowing children to eat it.
🏡 Respect neighbors’ property and be courteous throughout the evening.
🚗 Drivers, please slow down and watch carefully for children in neighborhoods!

Thank you to our Police Department for sharing these helpful reminders with us. Let’s all do our part to make Halloween fun, memorable, and safe for everyone! 🧡🖤

Have a happy and safe Halloween, Independence Township! 🎃
