The man in this picture had the courage to stand up and share his story—a story about the day he attempted the unthinkable but God. Avondale Police and Fire stepped in and saved his life. That kind of bravery, to talk openly about something so personal, is what gives others hope. It reminds us that even in our darkest moments, there are people ready to fight for us.

As a Councilwoman here in Avondale, I am proud of the heroic actions of our first responders. They don’t just answer calls—they change lives, and in moments like this, they save them.

Hearing his testimony is a powerful reminder that God is good. Even when the weight feels unbearable, God places people in our path to step in, lift us up, and remind us our story isn’t over.

ALAMAR National Night Out! This was a wonderful event focusing on community building and crime prevention , encouraging residents to spend time with their community and local law enforcement.

Had the opportunity to tour new K9 facility today — and it’s a game changer. 🐾👮🏼‍♂️ This state-of-the-art space was built with purpose: to give our K9 officers the environment they need to train, rest, and thrive alongside their handlers.

These dogs aren’t just part of the team — they’re essential to keeping our neighborhoods safe, from tracking suspects to detecting narcotics and protecting their human partners. Investing in them is investing in our city’s safety and future.
