🚨 Please Help Keep Our Firefighters Safe 🚒

One of the most dangerous moments for firefighters isn’t always responding to an emergency—it’s backing a fire truck into the station.

Our apparatus have significant blind spots, and backing requires the full attention of both the driver and the firefighters guiding the truck. When motorists try to drive around a fire truck that is actively backing into the station, they create an extremely dangerous situation that can lead to serious injury or tragedy.

If you see a fire truck stopped in the roadway with emergency lights activated while the apparatus is backing into the station:

🛑 Please stop and wait.
🚫 Do not attempt to drive around the apparatus.
❤️ A few moments of patience can save a life.

We’re not trying to delay your day—we’re trying to make sure everyone, including our firefighters and the public, gets home safely.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your continued support of Herbert Wallace Fire Company #1.

“Seconds of waiting are worth a lifetime of safety.” 🚒

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Herbert Wallace Fire Company #1! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the birth of our nation, we encourage everyone to enjoy the festivities responsibly. If you’re using fireworks, keep a safe distance, have a water hose or bucket nearby, never allow young children to handle fireworks, and never relight a firework that fails to ignite. Always be mindful of your surroundings and your neighbors.

Our members are proud to serve this community 24/7, 365 days a year. We wish everyone a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July.

Stay safe. Celebrate responsibly. And remember: Safety never takes a holiday. 🇺🇸🚒
