Transition planning requires making decisions during high school that will affect outcomes after graduation. Support your students and their families to understand the options, connect with supports, and build the skills that can help them navigate adult life with confidence.

The Texas Transition and Employment Guide describes areas that require careful planning, such as college, career, community, and health care management. Use this guide to understand each of the critical topics related to transition planning and to support discussion related to your studentsโ€™ individual needs.

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’› Little Voices, BIG Learning! ๐Ÿ

Amazing things are happening in Ms. Harperโ€™s Pre-K classroom! Our littlest Hornets are using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices during circle time to participate, interact with their friends, and share their thoughts! ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ“š

We love seeing our youngest learners develop communication skills, build confidence, and actively engage in classroom activities!

Every child has something to say, and every voice deserves to be heard! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š Amazing things are happening in Mrs. Downโ€™s classroom! ๐Ÿ

Our students are using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to build their communication and literacy skills! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ฌ

Communication looks different for everyone, and we love seeing our students find their voices, engage in learning, and show us what they know!

Every student deserves a voice, and every voice matters! ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“ข Communication in Action! ๐Ÿ’ฌ

โœจOur October focus for our Portrait of a Hornet traits is Communicationโ€”and two of our amazing students showed us exactly what that looks like in action!

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’šUsing their AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, Benji and James, along with their teachers Mrs. Downes and Mr. Schmitt, stepped up to lead our morning announcements today! ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ๐Ÿ“ฒ

In Azle ISD, our Portrait of a Hornet reminds us that communication means using oral, written, digital, and non-verbal skills to connect with others. We are so proud of these Hornets for sharing their voices and leading our school community with confidence! ๐ŸŒŸ
Way to go! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ–ค
