🇺🇸 25 YEARS LATER, WE REMEMBER. 🇺🇸
Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was forever changed.
On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in an unimaginable act of tragedy. They were mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and strangers whose lives were taken far too soon.
Today, we remember every civilian who never made it home that day — those working in the towers and the Pentagon, those aboard the four planes, and those who were simply going about their lives when everything changed.
We also remember the first responders who ran toward the danger. Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other emergency personnel answered the call without hesitation, putting the lives of others before their own. 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers made the ultimate sacrifice that day.
We remember the innocent lives lost.
We remember the heroes who gave everything.
We remember the families left behind.
We remember the courage, compassion, and unity that followed.
Twenty-five years have passed, but time does not erase the lives that were lost or the families who continue to carry that loss.
As a law enforcement family, we honor those who answered the call. As Americans, we honor every single life lost on September 11th.
May we never forget their names.
May we never forget their stories.
May we never forget the sacrifices made that day.
25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
