Community Fire Response and Prevention Efforts

Emergency Incident Operations
• Today we responded to conway wallrose rd for a reported structure fire with a front porch on fire.
• 69 was dispatched along with ambridge fd 71, harmony twp vfd 48, new sewickley fire district 52, baden 47 and conway vfd rehab unit 49.
• When the call came rescue Captain Brickner and Lieutenant Mutschler responded with our tanker.
• First onscene crews advanced a handline to the front porch attacking the fire from the exterior.
• As crews began to arrive entry was made to the attic where a handline was put in service to stop any extension into the main living quarters of the home.
• Crews mad a rapid stop keeping the fire contained to the front portion of the porch.
• We owe our mutual aid departments a huge thank you and those men and women onscene worked quickly, efficiently and stopped something from becoming a major incident.
•Thank you to our Economy Police Department for keeping the roadway secured for incoming units
•As always thank you to Economy EMS for your standby crew on scene for our safety

Unlucky circumstances deemed to be the cause of the fire. No further investigation needed.

Educational Fire Safety Initiatives
• This week starts fire prevention week, we had a full crew at economy elementary school teaching the whole school some fire prevention techniques to use at home.
