Construction activity continues to progress at the Ray Williamson Pool!

Pool demolition is now underway and includes plumbing removal and concrete cutting. The pool is expected to be emptied shortly, with liner removal beginning soon after.

Community members should expect increased construction noise throughout the week due to concrete sawing, breaking, and hauling equipment operating on site. Visit our project page to keep up with the latest updates: https://buff.ly/Tn2c64E

The results are in: our community showed up for the 2026 City Nature Challenge! 🌿

Together, community scientists documented 3,706 observations of 773 species with help from nearly 200 participants across Kitsap. The most observed species was the classic Western Sword Fern, with 58 observations.

Thank you to everyone who explored, observed, and shared the wild wonders of our area! Every photo uploaded to iNaturalist helps build a better understanding of the incredible biodiversity that surrounds us and supports future conservation efforts.

Troop #41982 of the of the USA is making a lasting impact at Camp Yeomalt!

As part of their journey toward earning the Bronze Award, these dedicated scouts recently rolled up their sleeves to repaint the Camp Yeomalt activity room. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment to service are helping create a brighter, more welcoming space for future campers, community programs, and outdoor education activities.

Projects like this show what youth leadership looks like in action—identifying a need, working together, and leaving a place better than they found it. We’re grateful for their energy, creativity, and service to our community.

Thank you, Scouts, for investing in the places that bring people together. 🌲🎨💚
