Whether you live in Western, Central, or Eastern Oregon, the Oregon Employment Department’s new mobile WorkSource Oregon centers make it easier to connect with career support, technology, and WorkSource staff who can help you take the next step in your job search.
These mobile centers are one more way the Oregon Employment Department and partners are making job-seeker services more accessible and consistent for everyone in Oregon, including rural communities.
Each mobile center has a workstation, computer, and secure internet access. The driver, a WorkSource Oregon staff member, can provide job seekers with support.
This means you can get help with job searches, as well as with referrals to related programs and services.
These services are at no cost for you to use.
You can find a schedule of the mobile center stops at worksourceoregon.org/for-job-seekers/mobile-worksource-oregon-centers.html. You’ll also see updates about when the mobile centers are visiting your area from social media and community partners. Currently, the mobile centers are making stops in these areas:
Western Oregon: Alsea, Clatskanie, Estacada, Grand Ronde, Mill City, Molalla, Monroe, Veronia
Central Oregon: Chiloquin, Christmas Valley, Condon, Lakeview, La Pine, Maupin, Warm Springs
Eastern Oregon: Boardman, Elgin, Halfway, Heppner, Huntington, Jordan Valley, Mission, Vale
If you are a Veteran, you can expect to receive priority access to WorkSource Oregon services, just as you would at any brick-and-mortar WorkSource Oregon center. This support includes referrals to veteran-specific programs and additional services to help you achieve your employment goals.
The mobile centers are made possible by the Oregon Employment Department in partnership with the Oregon Department of Human Services. Together, they are working with local WorkSource Oregon centers, local workforce development boards, and partners across the state to reach more people where they are.
