🎃🍂 IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR… PUMPKINS! 🍂🎃

Pumpkin decorating, pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting, and all the fall fun are here! 🧡 But before you toss those pumpkins after Halloween, remember there are so many ways to put them to good use!

👻 **A few pumpkin tips:**
🔪 Practice safe carving and keep sharp tools away from little hands.
🕯️ Use battery-operated candles to help prevent fires.
🧼 Wash your pumpkins before handling or cooking.
🌱 Save the seeds for roasting, use edible pumpkin flesh in soups and baked goods, or compost pumpkins that are no longer good to eat!

🎃 Check out our flyer for more pumpkin safety tips, creative ways to reuse your pumpkins, and an easy pumpkin soup recipe!

Let's enjoy all the fun of fall while staying safe and reducing waste. 🍁🧡

OCTOBER IS ADHD AWARENESS MONTH!

ADHD is more than being distracted or having lots of energy. It can affect attention, organization, impulse control, time management, and everyday life—and it looks different for everyone.

This month, let's increase awareness, build understanding, and challenge the misconceptions surrounding ADHD. Instead of judgment, let's lead with patience, compassion, and support.

Remember, ADHD doesn't define a person, and everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive! 🧠✨

More understanding. Less judgment. More support.

💚 MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. 💚

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. It's okay to not be okay, to ask for help, and to take time for yourself. You never know what someone else may be going through, so lead with kindness, check in on one another, and remember that you are never alone. 💚

You matter. Your feelings matter. Your mental health matters.

💙 HATE CRIME AWARENESS WEEK | OCTOBER 10–17 💙

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and included in their community.

Hate crimes and acts motivated by prejudice can cause lasting harm—not only to individuals, but also to families and entire communities. Awareness is an important step toward building a community where everyone feels valued and supported.

This week, let’s remember that we all have a role to play:
🤝 Treat others with dignity and respect.
💙 Stand beside those who experience hate or discrimination.
🗣️ Speak up when it is safe to do so.
❤️ Choose compassion, understanding, and inclusion.

If you or someone you know experiences a hate crime, consider contacting local law enforcement or seeking support from a victim services organization.

Hate has no place in our community. Together, we can help make Baker County a safer, more welcoming place for everyone.

💚World Mental Health Day | October 10💚

Your mental health matters! Today is a reminder to give yourself the same kindness, patience, and understanding you give others.

3 Important Reminders:

💚You don’t have to be perfect. Stop expecting yourself to have it all figured out. You’re human, and you’re allowed to learn and grow.

💚It’s okay to pause. Taking a moment to breathe, reset, and regroup is an important part of self-regulation, not a sign of weakness.

💚Your time and energy are precious. Protect your peace, set boundaries, and remember that you don’t have to pour from an empty cup.

You are not alone. Asking for help is a strength, and taking care of your mental health matters every day.

Be kind to yourself. You matter. You deserve care, too.
