🚜🌾 HARVEST SAFETY REMINDER 🚒🚑

With the dry weather, windy conditions, and so many farmers working hard in the fields, we want to remind everyone to take a few extra precautions during this busy harvest season.

🔥 Keep a fire extinguisher nearby and make sure it's in good working condition.

🚜 Take breaks to check your machinery. Keep an eye out for overheating, debris buildup, and anything that could potentially start a fire.

🥪 Remember to eat, stay hydrated, and get some sleep! We know most of you will push hard from sunup to sundown until that last acre is harvested, but your health and well-being are just as important as getting the crops out.

❤️ Take care of yourselves and each other. We know how much hard work, long hours, and dedication go into harvest. With the increased fire risk this year, a few extra minutes of caution can make all the difference.

🚗 A reminder to all drivers: Please slow down, stay alert, and be patient when sharing the roads with farm equipment. A few extra minutes on the road are worth it when someone's life could be at risk. Remember, those farmers are working hard to feed all of us!!

🌾🚜 Stay safe out there! We've got your back! 🚒🚑

🚒🔥 REGIONAL FIRE TRAINING– THANK YOU! 🔥🚒

A huge thank you to the 20 agencies and approximately 80 firefighters who joined last nights regional training! The evening was a great success.

Training included a tractor rollover rescue, basement burn training, pump operations, and incident command training.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to our community for your continued support, for giving such a warm welcome to everyone who came to Balaton, and for helping keep both yourselves and our emergency responders safe while the training was taking place.

We truly appreciate everyone who helped make this event possible!

And, as promised… here are a few pictures from last night! 🚒🔥👨‍🚒
