We're kicking off our journey at Guy Berry Park, one of our community's favorite outdoor destinations. Recently enhanced with new improvements, this park offers something for everyone; from playground adventures and picnic areas to sports fields and open spaces to enjoy the outdoors.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be highlighting parks across Balch Springs, showcasing the unique features, amenities, and experiences each one has to offer. Follow along, explore your local parks, and discover all the local fun!

Join us on June 18th!

Join us at Veterans Memorial Park on Thursday, June 18th at 6 PM for a Juneteenth: Art in the Park celebration! The evening will feature painting with instructor Stephanie Burleson and live music from The Revive Trio. This event is open to all ages and art supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Yesterday, City crews removed approximately 120 cubic yards of tree debris from public roadways and locations throughout Balch Springs.

The photo below provides a visual reference of what 120 cubic yards looks like, a testament to the hard work of our crews and their commitment to keeping our community safe and accessible.

Thank you to everyone involved in the cleanup efforts.

Today, BSFD responded to a residential structure fire with assistance from our partners at Dallas, Mesquite, Wilmer, and Forney.

Firefighters forced the door and extinguished the fire, safely located two dogs inside the home, and coordinated with the Balch Springs Animal Shelter to care for the animals. The American Red Cross was also contacted to assist the homeowner with temporary housing.

Thank you to all agencies involved for their professionalism and dedication to serving our community.
