🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, United Fire & Rescue remembers the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In their memory, all three United Fire & Rescue stations — Baldwin, Hammond, and Woodville — have displays honoring those who were lost and the first responders who answered the call.

May we never forget their courage, sacrifice, and service.

United Fire & Rescue remembers. 🇺🇸

TRAINING. TEAMWORK. TRUST 🔥 🚒

Tuesday night, members of our Woodville Station spent the evening sharpening their rope rescue skills. Members worked together on rope systems, rigging, raising and lowering operations, patient packaging, and safely moving a patient from an elevated area.

Training like this gives our firefighters the opportunity to practice working through challenging rescue situations while building confidence, communication, and teamwork.

These are skills we hope we never have to use, but when the call comes, preparation matters. A big thank you to everyone who came out, participated, and continues putting in the time to better serve our community!
