Every day, correctional officers across Texas and the nation walk into environments most people never see and many wouldn’t dare to enter. They serve with strength, discipline, and courage inside facilities that demand constant vigilance. They face physical danger, mental exhaustion, and emotional stress, all while upholding safety, order, and human dignity.

This video offers a powerful look into the dangers correctional officers encounter daily. From violent confrontations to the psychological toll of working in high-stress, high-risk settings, we’re pulling back the curtain on what it truly means to serve in corrections.

As we recognize National Correctional Officers Week, we take time to appreciate the dedication and resilience of the men and women who keep our jails and prisons safe. These professionals are often overlooked, but their role is vital in maintaining the integrity of the justice system.

🙏 To every officer who puts on the uniform and steps behind the gates:
We appreciate you.
We respect you.
We thank you.
