On Thursday, November 5, from 3:30–5pm, our Veterans Group will visit Time for You Playcare to speak with afterschool students about their military experiences, time in service, and how those experiences have shaped who they are today.

We are looking for veterans who would enjoy sharing their experiences and connecting with the next generation. As the students will include children as young as 5, volunteers should be comfortable speaking with young children and sharing stories in a calm, patient, and approachable manner. Stories and discussion topics should be appropriate for a mixed-age audience.

Veterans, are you struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, distressing memories, or other emotional concerns? You are not alone, and support is available.

Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga Equine Farm, in partnership with ECS and our Peer Connection Program, is exploring a FREE, eight-week Freedom Rein equine therapy program for Veterans.

This unique opportunity offers Veterans the chance to spend time with horses in an arena—walking, brushing, cleaning, and simply enjoying their company. The program would be a small, intimate group, and participation would be free.

Sessions would meet for two hours each week, with a possible winter 2026–2027 start based on interest and availability.
