October 18-24, 2026, is the 21st annual National Friends of Libraries Week, and it’s the perfect opportunity to give our Friends group a big shout-out for all they do to make a positive impact every day.

😍💖 Thank you, Friends of the Balsam Lake Public Library! From book sales to collaboration and assisting with library programming, our Friends are the best!

We know the Friends are always looking for new members and volunteers. They have so much fun making our community better. If you're interested in joining, visit or email the library, and we'll get you connected.

Everyone submitted fabulous pumpkins for our Pumpkin Decorating Contest, but only one pumpkin in each category could win. The votes have been tallied, and the winners are:

🐘 Adults: #8 Elephant
🦁 7th -12th Grade: #17 Lion
🦔 3rd - 6th Grade: #19 Hedgehog
😺 PreK - 2nd Grade: #1 Leonardo De Cattrio
