Sweet treats and powerful momentum for inclusive employment!

To highlight National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), Governor Wes Moore along with Maryland Department of Disabilities Secretary Carol Beatty and Maryland Department of Labor Secretary Portia Wu visited Sunshine Bakery for a fun, high-energy event.

During the visit, Governor Moore presented the team with the official state Disability Employment Awareness Month Proclamation. Events like this are a powerful reminder that strong employer partnerships are key to building truly inclusive workplaces. When businesses commit to equal job opportunities, our workforce gets stronger, our communities thrive, and talent gets the platform it deserves.

Thank you to Sunshine Bakery for hosting such a fun event and leading by example every single day!
