One of the best parts of this job is when the ones who came before us come back around.

Former Engine 13 Captain Krohn stopped by for dinner to talk shop and share some of what he's learned over the years. You can't get that kind of knowledge from a textbook. It's earned on the street and passed down at the kitchen table.

Thanks for making the time, Cap. The door's always open. 🚒

7/4/26- A busy Fourth of July for Delta shift. Rounded out the shift with 29 runs for Engine 13 & 25 runs for Truck 16. 3 fires for each. 🇺🇸🦅

•E13 & T16-1600 blk of Saratoga. Fire in a Code X.
•T16-Took the 4th alarm of fire on Filbert St.
•E13- Took initial box alarm to the 2600 block of Boston St.
•E13 & T16- Both first due to the 2900 block of McElderry St.

6/9/26- Truck 16 as the second due truck took a trip to the 4100 block of Maine Ave. in the 5th battalion for fire reported in a 3 story single family dwelling. Units had fire throughout the 2nd floor with some extension to the 3rd floor.

After 35 years of service to the citizens of Baltimore Lt Darryll Williams of Engine Co. 14 works his last shift this Sunday. The prime example of what a leader is and should be. In the history of the BCFD no man has put out more fire than Darryll Williams. The men and women of this Department are forever in his debt for the knowledge, stories and laughter given to us.
