East Baltimore Republican Club!

A Seat at the Table: East Baltimore Republican Club, 1938

Step back in time to East Baltimore in 1938, when members and guests of the East Baltimore Republican Club gathered for a luncheon filled with fellowship, conversation, and community pride.

During an era of segregation and political change, African American political organizations played an important role in giving residents a voice in Baltimore's future. As the Great Depression continued and political loyalties began shifting, gatherings like this reflected the importance of community involvement.

Nearly 90 years later, this photograph offers a remarkable glimpse into the people who helped shape Baltimore's history.

❓ Does anyone remember hearing about the East Baltimore Republican Club, or recognize any family members in this photograph? We'd love to hear your stories!

Baltimore's shipyards armed the privateers that preyed on British commerce during the War of 1812. Britain came for Baltimore. Fort McHenry refused to fall. The flag was still flying at dawn, and from that battle came the words that became The Star-Spangled Banner.

Two centuries later, the furnaces of Bethlehem Steel are gone and Sparrows Point bears the scars of industrial decline.

But America is building there again.

President Trump announced Arsenal-2: $3.7 billion from Anduril and a Navy contract worth up to $2.9 billion to expand production of Virginia-class submarine components.

From privateers to submarines.
From Fort McHenry to Sparrows Point.
From Bethlehem's ashes to Arsenal-2.

Baltimore was not born to manage decline.

It's time that we wrestle it away from those that have let it decline.

Baltimore was born to build.

Delegate Daniel L. Cox did a great job laying out a real plan for Maryland & he's right in saying Wes Moore just was just covering no progress with fancy words. We didn't hear a clear answer from Wes Moore at all during the debate. I hope the voters were listening.

The Governor debate JUST ended, and now we want to hear from YOU.

Who do you think won tonight’s debate: Dan Cox or Wes Moore?

Did Dan Cox make the stronger case for a change in Maryland, while Wes Moore was left defending his record of higher taxes, rising costs, and broken promises?

Take our poll and let us know who you think won: https://secure.anedot.com/maryland-republican-party/govdebatepoll

If Wes Moore wins in November, the first thing considered in 2027 will be another massive tax increase to pay for his $3 billion deficit.

Vote for lower taxes, lower spending, and fiscal responsibility. Vote Republicans just once to save your BGE & taxes!

Republican gubernatorial nominee Dan Cox joined the "C4 and Bryan Nehman" show on Tuesday prior to his scheduled debate next week with incumbent Democratic Gov. Wes Moore.
