A girl from Lansdowne/Baltimore Highlands ran for Baltimore County Council.
And while the votes didn't get us quite there, I couldn't be more proud of what we built together.
Over the last eight months, we built an incredible grassroots campaign from the ground up. We knocked doors, made calls, raised over $100,000, and had thousands of conversations about the future of District 1. We brought people together around the belief that local government should be responsive, accessible, positive and focused on the community.
Most importantly, we did it the right way.
We didn't play in the gutter. We stayed focused on the issues. We treated people with respect & compassion. And I stayed true to who I am.
I've always believed that you miss 100% of the opportunities you don't take. Well, we didn't miss this one. We grabbed this opportunity for all it was worth and did it with a smile.
Sometimes you work as hard as you possibly can, give it everything you have, and it's still just not your time. And that's okay because an election result doesn't define us. What defines me is my commitment to serving others, and that isn't changing.
I still have the honor of serving our community through my work with the U.S. House of Representatives, helping residents navigate government, access resources, and solve problems. The work continues tomorrow, just as it always has.
To every volunteer, supporter, donor, friend, family member my campaign team, and voter who believed in me—thank you. I will never forget what we accomplished together as
Thank you for believing in a girl from the community and for the community. ❤️
