Before the first step, there’s a plan.

Blue Jay Battalion cadets plotted their points and planned their routes before heading out to put their land navigation skills into practice.

Check the map. Trust your training. Find your way.

The Blue Jay Battalion began the semester with a strong first week of training, leadership development, and team building. As Cadets return to the classroom and the field, we remain committed to strengthening our skills, supporting one another, and preparing for the challenges ahead.

We look forward to another semester of growth, discipline, and service as we continue developing the next generation of Army leaders.

On 29 August 2026, Johns Hopkins University Army ROTC led this year’s Captains Cohort event, bringing together student-athlete leaders for a day focused on leadership development, teamwork, and shared learning.

CPT Jacob Lee of Loyola University Army ROTC led the event, which featured a Field Leadership Reaction Course (FLRC) designed to challenge participants through complex team-based problem solving, followed by a Facilitated After-Action Review (FAAR) to reflect on performance and capture lessons learned.

The event provided student-athletes an opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills and learn from one another through shared experience.
