Last night at approximately 11:30pm we were dispatched to a possible structure fire in Back Nine Dr in Baneberry. Units from the Baneberry Volunteer Fire Department, White Pine Volunteer Fire Department, and Cocke County Fire Departments responded. Fortunately there was no fire and the call was attributed to an odor of smoke from outside the home.

This morning members of the Baneberry Fire Department drilled using some equipment we purchased with grant money. We now have the capability to establish a sufficient water supply to fight a fire in the event our water system goes down, and or supplement the system as needed.
