Our District serves 2,950 students across five schools, all of which offer a challenging curriculum based on academic standards set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. We are cohort-based meaning that all students in a single grade stay together throughout their educational career.

This morning, Bangor Area High School is hosting its College, Military Service, and Career Fair, giving students the opportunity to connect directly with representatives and learn more about the many paths available after graduation.

We are pleased to welcome representatives from more than 70 colleges and universities, 20 employers, and the four branches of the military who registered to participate in today’s event.

Whether students are considering college, entering the workforce, pursuing a skilled trade, or serving our country, these conversations can help them better understand their options and plan for their future.

We appreciate all the organizations taking time to meet with our students and help them explore what comes next.

For more than 165 years, the Union Schoolhouse has stood as a reminder of our community’s history and the generations of students who came before us.

BASD’s Board of Education authorized a citizen advisory committee to explore the restoration of this historic one room schoolhouse on our campus. This effort is about more than restoring an old building. It is about preserving an important piece of our community’s story and creating opportunities for future generations to connect with our past.

Our Bangor Area Middle School National Junior Honor Society students spent the day giving back at Jacobsburg State Park.

Students helped w**d and mulch the natural plants garden and log path, helping make these areas more accessible for the students who visit the park for educational field trips. They also learned about the history of Jacobsburg and the early settlers who lived and worked in the area.

Thank you to our NJHS students for giving their time, working hard, and representing BAMS so well!

Kindergarten at Five Points has been working hard on writing and speaking skills. Students are using a karaoke machine to share their stories with classmates, giving them a fun way to practice speaking, listening, and building social skills.
