Our Straus Members did lots of cutting and gathering of flowers and herbs before all the rain hit over the weekend. Now we’re working on pumpkin crafts, which is making it feel a little more like fall around here!

Our Straus members get to enjoy so many wonderful activities here at Birch Bay! On Friday’s we look forward to our our drum circle! Phoebe, our music therapy intern, introduced the steel drum. At the Straus Center making music, connecting, and enjoying each other’s company is always on the agenda!

Our members are so grateful to be back out on the trail with our friends from MDI Wheelers! The aim of the MDI Wheelers is to provide joyful experiences on the Carriage Roads in Acadia National Park for people unable to ride a bike by themselves. Our mission is to serve our community by increasing the accessibility of Acadia National Park Carriage Roads. We are so grateful for this fantastic organization that partners with Birch Bay Retirement Village year after year!
