Press Release:

On September 22nd, 2026, The Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest stemming from a nearly yearlong multi-jurisdictional investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office, and 1st Circuit Commonwealth Attorney’s Office. As a result of the investigation Chief Deputy Ben Green located and arrested Jake Beasley of Bardwell Ky. Beasley was served with indictment warrants from both Marshall and Carlisle Counties.

In March of 2026 the Carlisle County Sheriff's Office was made aware of an investigation Marshall County Detectives had been working on since December 2025. That investigation led them to a residence in Bardwell Ky where their suspect, 31-year-old Jake Beasley, was living. Marshall County Detectives requested assistance executing a search warrant at that address to collect digital electronic devices that belonged to the suspect. Evidence was collected in March that was later sent to the Paducah Police Department Digital Forensic Unit. When those items were returned Chief Deputy Green and Detective Ronnie Rathman of the 1st Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney Office began an investigation into the contents of the devices.

On September 17th, 2026, Chief Deputy Green presented his findings to Carlisle County Grand Jury. The Grand Jury returned an indictment of 25 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance of Minor Victim less than 12 years of age. All counts are Class C Felonies that hold a potential penalty of 5 to 10 years in prison per count. On September 22nd Beasley was located and taken into custody, on the Carlisle County warrant. Beasley was also served with an indictment warrant out of Marshall County.
The Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Marshall County Sheriffs Office and 1st Circuit Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for their assistance in the multi-jurisdictional investigation.

Beasley was transported to the Ballard County Detention Center and considered innocent until proven guilty.

Cunningham Fireworks Show
July 3rd, 2026

The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office is pleased to welcome residents and visitors to the annual Cunningham Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 3, 2026. Festivities will begin at 3:00 p.m., offering an afternoon and evening of family-friendly entertainment, food, community activities, and a fireworks display.

As our community prepares to host guests from across the region, the Sheriff's Office asks everyone attending to help make the event safe and enjoyable by respecting local businesses, residents, and fellow attendees.

During normal business hours, attendees are asked to park only in designated parking areas and avoid using parking spaces reserved for local businesses or their customers. These businesses continue to serve the community throughout the event, and your cooperation helps ensure they remain accessible to their patrons.

Motorists traveling through Cunningham are urged to exercise extreme caution, as heavy pedestrian traffic is expected to cross U.S. Highway 62 throughout the event. Please reduce your speed, remain alert, and watch for pedestrians crossing the roadway, particularly during the evening hours as the fireworks display approaches and concludes.

Visitors are also encouraged to follow all posted traffic signs and comply with directions from law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and event staff. These measures are in place to promote public safety, reduce traffic congestion, and help everyone enjoy the celebration.

The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office appreciates the cooperation of everyone attending and thanks the community, volunteers, and local businesses for their continued support of this annual tradition.
