The Barnegat Township Police Department is proud to once again participate in No Shave November, but this year, we're taking it a step further by extending the initiative through December!

From November 1st through December 31st, members of our department will be putting down their razors and growing out their facial hair, all while supporting the Ashley Lauren Foundation.

🎗️ As part of this initiative, each participating member of the department is making a personal monetary donation to the Ashley Lauren Foundation, an incredible organization dedicated to providing financial, emotional, and material assistance to children battling cancer and their families.

While you may notice some extra facial hair around town over the next two months, it's all for a meaningful cause that goes far beyond the badge!

💙 We invite our community to join us in making a difference! If you'd like to support this wonderful organization and the families it serves, please consider making a donation.

👉 Donate here: https://www.ashleylaurenfoundation.org/donate/

Thank you for your continued generosity and support as we come together to make a difference, one beard at a time!

🚨 LOCK IT OR LOSE IT! 🔒🚗

The Barnegat Township Police Department would like to remind all residents to take a few simple precautions to help prevent motor vehicle thefts and burglaries.

Thieves often look for easy opportunities, and an unlocked vehicle with keys or a key fob left inside can become an easy target.

✅ LOCK YOUR DOORS – Always lock your vehicle, even when parked in your driveway.

✅ TAKE YOUR KEYS – Never leave your keys or key fob inside your vehicle, even if it's parked at home.

✅ REMOVE VALUABLES – Keep wallets, purses, electronics, and other valuables out of sight or, better yet, bring them inside.

✅ STAY ALERT – Report suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

🔑 Remember: Your driveway is not a guarantee of security! Vehicle thefts can happen anywhere, including right outside your home.

Taking just a few seconds to secure your vehicle can help prevent you from becoming a victim.

Help us keep Barnegat safe. Lock your doors, take your keys, and don't make it easy for thieves!
