Smash poverty, one rally at a time 🎾💙

Last Sunday evening, the courts at Padelnet in Ramat Efal were packed with energy. 24 pairs from Israel’s leading tech companies, startups and VC funds came together for PADELTECH 2026, a padel tournament led by Latet’s Young Advisory Board.

Six groups, intense matches, loud cheering from the sidelines and plenty of networking between games. After the group stage, the competition went all the way to an exciting final, with Arrow VC taking first place and winning a weekend abroad for two, followed by 365Scores in second and Zyg in third. 🏆

But the real win happened off the court. All proceeds will help 1,000 families facing financial hardship over the next six months.

It was a night that proved how much good can happen when a community decides to show up: sport, fun, team spirit and a shared commitment to fighting poverty in Israel.

Thank you to everyone who played, cheered, volunteered and supported. See you on the court next year! 💙

Happy Aliyah Day!

In 1996, Gilles Darmon had just arrived from France. What he saw in his new country stayed with him: too many Israelis living in poverty.

So he did something about it. In his own kitchen in Tel Aviv, he founded Latet, “to give” in Hebrew.

30 years later, Latet supports more than 500,000 people every month, together with around 210 partner NGOs across Israel.

One oleh. One kitchen. One idea that became a movement. 💙

To every oleh and olah who chose Israel and helps build it every day: thank you.

We remember. We stand together.

Three years on, nearly 1 in 4 people Latet helps had never needed food aid before the war.

Yaakov Talker grew up in a small, warm home in Israel.

His dad earned the only salary, and his mom had health problems. At home, food always came first.

"When you're a kid and a box suddenly shows up at home, you don't think much of it. You see chocolate. But suddenly, Mom can breathe."

Yaakov grew up and served as a Namer APC driver in the Golani reconnaissance unit. With his first paycheck, he bought air conditioners for his parents' house.

On July 22, 2025, in Deir al-Balah, an RPG hit his vehicle. He woke up 24 hours later, lifted the blanket, and saw that doctors had saved his leg. Weeks later, he married his fiancée in the courtyard of Soroka Hospital.

Today Yaakov is 29 and in rehabilitation at Beit Loewenstein. He has one thing to say to the people who once filled that box: thank you.

"I never went to bed hungry."

Your gift fills a box today. One day, it could help raise a Yaakov.

"Honey, we have a problem." 🍯

One empty plate at a Rosh Hashanah table. For 1 in 4 Israelis, that's not a metaphor.

A holiday food box means a family starts the new year at a full table. Help us make this new year happy for everyone.

Every August 12th, the United Nations marks to highlight young people as essential leaders driving change and social progress. 🌍✨

At Latet, we see this truth in action every single day.

What makes Latet Youth (Noar Latet) so special? 💙

Instead of seeing underprivileged teens as people who only need help, Latet Youth transforms them into social leaders of their own communities.

Nearly 2,000 teenagers across 43 centers in Israel are taking charge—turning core values like Arvut Hadadit (mutual responsibility) into real action.

When you give young people trust and purpose, they don't just change lives—they inspire an entire nation.

💙 Stand with Israel’s next generation of leaders.

Shavuot is a holiday of abundance - but for thousands of families and Holocaust survivors across Israel, the holiday table is bare. In 2025 alone, food insecurity has increased in 27.5%.

This Shavuot, we invite you to give, and to turn your generosity into someone else’s celebration. With a single gift, you can provide a holiday box filled with nutritious food delivered directly to someone in need.

We're proud to partner with UJA-Federation of New York for many years, both in routine and emergencies. Thank you, UJA, for your continued support and for highlighting our work during the last war with Iran.

Throughout much of Israel, but particularly in the north, residents spent the tense months during the Israel-Iran war on edge — knowing that when warning sirens went off, they had anywhere from 15 to 90 seconds to run for shelter. While some individuals have a safe room, or mamad, in their homes, ...
