NOTICE:

To all Baroda and Village residents there could be a delay in receiving ABSENTEE VOTER BALLOTS that are supposed to be ready and available on September 24th, 2026 by mail and in person. The County is working really hard to get the proofs to the printers so that local clerks can get their programming and Absentee Voter Ballots. Once the local Clerks receive their programming and ballots the tabulators have to be tested for the ballots before issuing them. I thank you for your patience. Please let me or my Deputy Clerk know if you have any questions. Baroda Township Deputy Clerk is Tammy VanderWeide, Email: [email protected] and my Email: [email protected].

If you would like to register to be on the permanent ballot list please contact myself or my Deputy Clerk Tammy VanderWeide or click here: https://www.michigan.gov/sos/elections/voting/absentee-voting

Thank you,

Christina Price
Baroda Township Clerk

I will make another post once I know more about the status of the ballots being delivered.

One of the delays that the County was facing was waiting on this ruling from the Supreme Court. This is just a small clipping from a notice that was published on September 14th, 2026.

On September 14, 2026 Michigan Officials on Supreme Court USPS Mail Ballot Rule Decision LANSING – Today, the U.S. Supreme Court left in place a preliminary injunction halting the mandatory implementation of a United States Postal Service (USPS) mail ballot rule for the November 2026 election. The rule, following a March 2026 Executive Order, had required states to enroll every voter who is eligible to vote by mail with USPS and tasks USPS with compiling the registered voters into state-specific lists. The rule also establishes new design requirements for state mail-in ballot envelopes, which USPS must approve. Under the rule, USPS will not deliver ballots to voters who do not appear on the USPS-generated lists and will not deliver ballots in envelopes that fail to comply with the rule’s new envelope design standards.

A huge shout out to the Baroda Fire Department for working above and beyond their duties to put on the best fireworks show around for their community. They conquer every challenge they face and don't give up! Because of the storm yesterday they definitely had many challenges.

With the support and physical labor from Baroda Lake Police Department, Berrien County Sheriff's Department, Honor Credit Unions Volunteers, Baroda Fire Departments Auxiliary, surrounding Fire Departments, Baroda Township Supervisor, Baroda Township Clerk, Village of Baroda President, Baroda American Legion, Baroda Lions, AJ Hardware for running supplies after hours to the Fire Department while setting up the field the night before, yesterday was another successful show!

Let's not forget St. John's Lutheran Church for the wonderful support they give as well each year.

A huge Thank You to AMS Displays for handling the storm and doing their best to keep the show going for Baroda.

We also want to thank all of the community for showing up to enjoy another year of Baroda fireworks. We want to thank all the Businesses who sponsor this event and provide food to all the volunteers.

Baroda is hands down the best place to be and a great community!

Happy Fourth of July everyone let's celebrate our freedom and the people who sacrificed their lives and families for our freedom. God Bless Everyone!
