Have unused or expired medications sitting in your medicine cabinet? Now is the perfect time to clean them out safely!

Bring your unused prescription tablets, capsules, patches, and other prescription medications to Barrington Public Safety Building at 400 N. Northwest Highway THIS SATURDAY, October 24th from 10am-2pm for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Safe disposal is a simple way to help prevent youth access to unused medications. It can also create an opportunity to check in with your child and reinforce your expectations around substance use. Just as CPR gives you the tools to help in an emergency, QPR will teach you what to do when you’re concerned that someone is contemplating self-harm or su***de.

Join BStrong Together and the Barrington Area Library as we welcome Ascension IL Behavioral Health QPR trainer Mandy Burbank to learn how to recognize the warning signs of a su***de crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone for help.

This FREE training session is open to anyone interested in becoming a QPR "gatekeeper" - parents, teachers, coaches, community members, etc..

The D220 SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) offers collaboration between the district, families, and the community to support students with disabilities, while fostering an atmosphere of partnership and mutual respect. It provides the district feedback on programs and services, helps parents advocate for their children, and provides a network for sharing information to improve educational outcomes.
