Our safety instructors and Officer D. Sanders spent some time with the kids at Singleton Community Center explaining Stranger Danger this morning.

Everyone’s doing it because it’s the smart thing to do! Catch a sober ride and make it home safe this Halloween.

Looking for some fun Halloween stuff to do this weekend?

Stop by Singleton Community Center and check out the haunted house. I will not be there! Because, ya know, scary. But we will have a booth set up at the Carnival on Friday from 6-8 PM.

Looking for a trunk-or-treat for children with special needs? Check out the newly opened and renovated Shadowlawn Park and grab some candy this Saturday from 3-4 PM.

Also, don't forget about getting those expired, unused prescription drugs off the street. This Saturday from 10-2 PM, we'll be hanging out with the fine folks at Kroger (7615 Highway 70) for the DEA Drug Takeback.

Even monsters have to follow the speed limit in Bartlett. Keep your eyes peeled for little ghouls and goblins crossing the streets this month!

If you accidentally call 911, don't immediately hang up!

Our dispatchers want to know it's an accident. If you hang up, they send the police to the area to check for emergencies.

They'll ask "911, what's the address of your emergency?"
You'll say, "1234 Fake Street, but it was an accident not an emergency."

If you have an emergency, and call 911, also don't then immediately hang up. They've got questions that need answering.

Such as: Where are you? Who are you? What do you need?

Finally, if you need non-emergency services, you can call (901)385-5555 or hit *2.

Shadowlawn Park is officially *drum roll please* OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

Well done to the City of Bartlett, TN Parks & Recreation Department for getting this all new inclusive playground for the kids in Bartlett!

Early this morning, I got a request for more patrols in an area overnight.

Here's what I do, so you can do it too:
Go to cityofbartlett.org
Click Report a Concern
Click the ! (exclamation point) in the red triangle
This give you a list of common requests you can make. Select whichever department you want, and fill it out.
There ya go!

There are so many request options you can make, it's mindboggling.

Check it out if you have a few minutes.

STARTING 10/22!
The time has come for us to move into our temporary building. During this move, we will be closed for several days. Once we have a date on reopening, we will let you all know. The temporary building will be located next to our existing building. We expect to be out of the shelter for 3-4 weeks. During this time, we will not be taking in owner surrenders. We are referring all surrenders to adopt-a-pet rehome. If you find a stray, please call and let us know. Also, post the found animal on FB Lost and Found Pets of Bartlett. In most cases, if you will hold the dog for a day or so, the owner will find you. During this time, we will be limited on animal intakes. As always, thank you for your continued support and we will be back to normal soon.

A huge thank you to Memphis Record Pressing for inviting us, first to the unveiling of the Andy Duggin Memorial Annex, and then to a first responders cop stop.
We appreciate y’all!
