What is Bartlett Fire doing with all their ladders outside today?

I am glad you asked!

Each year, our department conducts annual testing on both our aerial ladders and ground ladders to ensure they meet safety standards and are ready when our firefighters and community need them most. So, over the next two days that’s what we are doing!

These important tests help identify potential issues, verify equipment performance, and ensure our ladders can safely handle the demands of emergency operations.

Whether we’re climbing to a rooftop, performing a rescue, or battling a fire from above, we depend on our equipment to perform at all times.

Our firefighters had the opportunity to sharpen their search and rescue skills, utilizing a variety of tools, techniques, and hands-on training scenarios designed to help them safely and effectively locate and rescue those in need.

We also want to recognize and thank the Bartlett Fire Department Training Staff for working alongside Memphis Fire Department to make this valuable training opportunity possible.

Training like this is about more than improving skills. It’s about building relationships, sharing knowledge, strengthening teamwork, and learning from one another.
