Tri-Star Mining and the Barton Hose Company
On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the Maryland Bureau of Mines assisted the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office with their annual Confiscated Illegal Fireworks Disposal. The annual disposal takes place at one of Maryland’s surface mines and or stone quarries. This year the disposal was performed at Tri-Star Mining at the request of the Bureau of Mines. Barton Hose Company was onsite at the request of the Maryland Fire Marshal’s Office as a precautionary measure.
The Bureau of Mines wants to thank Tri-Star Mining and the Barton Hose Company for their cooperation with this annual process.
