Aerial insertions and extractions, multi-trauma rescue scenarios, simulated radio failures, and fast-moving problem solving—it’s just another week for Wyoming’s hoist team. Team members from Big Horn, Park, Natrona, and Sheridan Counties headed to Camp Guernsey for 5 days of recertification training, which included our annual written test, urban and wilderness ground search operations, trauma care, and communications failure drills. It was meticulous training designed for the high-pressure situations we face whenever we get the call.
