HUGE: New York has seen a 67% decrease in shooting incidents under Governor Kathy Hochul thanks to her record investment in gun violence prevention.

Gov. Hochul secured more than $4 billion for public safety, including over $1 billion for New York’s Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative, since she took office in 2021.

The GIVE initiative is working. Participating communities saw a 19% decline in shootings compared to last year, and New York is on pace to have the fewest shooting victims in recorded history.

“Keeping New Yorkers safe is my top priority,” said Gov. Hochul. “With record investments and strong partnership with law enforcement, we’ll keep driving down gun violence to record lows.”

Governor Kathy Hochul is delivering for New Yorkers by lowering costs, putting money back in people’s pockets, and standing up to Trump.
