🎃👻Batavia Police Department participates in Halloween IDOT Campaign👻🎃

Halloween time is a time for fun, family, and community celebrations. As trick-or-treaters fill our neighborhoods after dark, the Batavia Police Department is reminding everyone to make safety a priority, at all times of the year.

If you're celebrating this Halloween:
✅ Plan a sober ride home before you go out.
✅ Never drive impaired by alcohol, cannabis, or other drugs.
✅ Always wear your seat belt.
✅ Watch for children crossing streets and walking through neighborhoods.

Our officers will be conducting increased traffic enforcement as part of the statewide IDOT "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Drive High. Get a DUI." campaign, October 23 through November 2.

Remember: It's Not a Game. Make smart choices and help keep our roads safe for everyone this Halloween.

The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Drive High. Get a DUI” campaigns, along with increased traffic enforcement, are funded by federal highway safety grants administered by IDOT.
