Congratulations to Senior Probation Officer Jeremy Barber for being recognized with the Shining Star Award. Officer Barber has a strong track record of over 20 years of service to Genesee County, bringing outstanding probation absconders to justice with fairness and dignity. He also serves as the department's Treatment Court liaison, working to ensure community safety as well as rehabilitation where appropriate.

🌟 Shining Star Employee Recognition: Jeremy Barber 🌟

Genesee County proudly recognizes Jeremy Barber, Senior Probation Officer with the Genesee County Probation Department, for his dedicated service and his commitment to public safety, rehabilitation, and supporting his fellow officers.

Jeremy serves as both the department’s Warrant Officer and Treatment Court Liaison. He is known for diligently pursuing probation absconders and recently executed two warrants in one day, safely bringing both individuals before the court.

Jeremy also works closely with local treatment providers and is a valued member of the Treatment Court team. He was named a “Friend of GCASA Residential Services” for his work helping probationers access rehabilitation services.

Beyond his regular responsibilities, Jeremy readily shares his decades of experience with newer officers, providing guidance on investigations, professional connections, and officer safety. He also sets a strong example by treating probationers with dignity.

⚾ Join Genesee County STOP DWI for a Night at the Ballpark on Thursday, July 9, at Dwyer Stadium!

This year’s event will include a special tribute to Genesee County Sheriff's Office - Sheriff Joseph M. Graff, whose career has been defined by decades of dedicated public service.

Sheriff Graff has been a strong supporter of STOP-DWI initiatives, helping strengthen enforcement, education, and community awareness.

Come cheer on Sheriff Graff as he throws out the ceremonial first pitch!

Genesee County Sheriff's Office - Batavia, NY School Resource Deputies and City of Batavia Police Department, NY School Resource Officers have a limited number of complimentary tickets available to distribute.
