Earlier today Bath PD's Chief Booth attended People Plus Maine 15th annual Senior Health Expo at the Brunswick Recreation Department, along with Detective Everstone from Topsham Police Department and Sergeant Bedard and Communications Officer Westrich of Brunswick, Maine Police Department as part of our Merrymeeting Bay Area Triad group, which is a group consisting of law enforcement, older adults, and older adult-serving organizations.

We shared information on some of our community programs, like the Good Morning Program, where residents call in to their local police department daily for a check-in, Sand Buckets for Seniors where we deliver a bucket of sand for winter traction, and Project Lifesaver (Project Lifesaver International Headquarters) a program centered on locating those who wander due to Alzheimer's, dementia, or autism.

We also shared shared information on some of the many scams affecting Mainers today with the goal of preventing future victimization.

If you are a resident of Brunswick, Harpswell, or any of the towns in Sagadahoc County, and are interested in learning more about the community programs we offer, you can learn more online on our respective websites, or feel free to contact us (or your local agency).

The fake movie money has made another appearance lately and we wanted to remind local merchants and individuals to check $100 bills closely to make sure they're real before accepting them. Attached is a picture of these fake bills, they clearly say "For Motion Picture Purposes" but at first glance, do look real.

9/11 information

The events that occurred on 9/11/01, 25 years ago, had a profound effect it on our country, our citizens, and especially our first responders. We remember and pay our respects to all affected, especially those who lost their lives.

Motorists take note: Tomorrow, Friday 9/11/26, expect minor traffic delays to occur periodically between 8:30am and 10:30am for a series of 9/11 memorial processions across the Sagadahoc bridge (RT 1) between Bath and Woolwich. Expect a larger pedestrian presence along the bridge supporting this event. Use caution and slow down in this area.

US Flags will be at half staff tomorrow.
