Step inside Baton Rouge's favorite castle for a magical morning of adventure! 🏰✨
If you are looking for ways to mix up your Friday routine, we have you covered. Bring your little ones to the castle this Friday, October 16 at 11 a.m. Our monthly puppet shows are completely free, and the whole program is designed to be easy, welcoming, and fun for all families in our community.
Author Gina Gallois will be here for a special live reading of her book, "Mama Opossum's Misadventures!" 📖 Then, join characters like Papa Grits, Mama Roux, and her five adorable opossum joeys in a custom puppet show built entirely by our creative museum team!
We are also hosting a puppet-making session! Feel free to bring an old sock from home, but don't worry if you forget! Our friendly staff will have plenty of extra materials and craft supplies on hand to help out. 🧦🎨
After the show, you can explore our stunning galleries together. We love turning historic exhibits into accessible, interactive experiences for your little ones to explore at their own pace.
The event is totally free, but we do ask that families RSVP so that we know you're coming! Save your spot here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/once-upon-a-castle-storytime-puppet-theatre-tickets-2002559149323
Swipe through the photos on this post to see some of the fun from a sweet family who came out to enjoy one of our recent puppet shows! ❤️ There is nothing better than seeing our building filled with kids playing and laughing.
P.S. Mark your calendars for next month's showing on Friday, November 13!
