Louisiana Motor Transport Association, Inc. Trade Association promoting and protecting the trucking industry in Louisiana.

Membership includes every type of truck and related industry companies operating in Louisana. Motor carrier members include for-hire and private, regulated and exempt, interstate and intrastate, local and long-haul, haz-mat and non haz-mat, and from one truck to over 5000. Safety directors meet regularly through the Safety Management Council for safety meetings, voluntary vehicle inspections and we host state truck driving championships.

🚛 Registration is open for NATMI Hazardous Materials Training!

Join LMTA for this two-day seminar on December 1–2, focused on the regulations and procedures involved in safely preparing, shipping, and transporting hazardous materials. The course is designed to help satisfy 49 CFR Part 172 Subpart H recurrent training requirements and covers everything from hazmat classifications and packaging to placarding, shipping papers, loading procedures, and roadside inspections.

This training is open to both LMTA members and non-members. Fleet safety professionals, drivers, dockworkers, billing clerks, and anyone involved in shipping or handling hazardous materials are encouraged to attend.

Great day at American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition — a full day of legal work that moved from case discussions to legislative updates to practical, real-world advice.
We started with the Litigation Center Board, covering a range of active cases and getting the latest on how ATA is tracking and engaging on them. From there we moved into the Legal Reform Advisory Council for updates on federal lawsuit abuse reform efforts and ongoing state-level work. Jerrod Smith with FedEx then gave a clear, ground-level look at the interconnected fraud networks, staged accidents, and RICO strategies carriers are using to push back.
The day wrapped with an educational session on a multi-carrier case, focused on concrete steps fleets can take to better insulate their businesses. We’ll bring those tips and takeaways back from Charlotte to share with you.

Last night at American Trucking Associations MCE it was full lost-treasure social-club energy: gold and black everywhere, matchbooks and gum passed out like clues, hidden treasures tucked around the room, then karaoke that was absolutely epic. The Louisiana Krewe (Brad Nelson, Kenny Stocks) passed a good time in Charlotte.

One of our favorite sessions from our favorite org of the day at the American Trucking Associations MCE! 🚛
Rebecca Meyer Brewster and the ATRI team are unveiling the industry’s Top 10 trucking issues — the annual “Big Reveal” that gives us a clear, data-driven look at what’s really on the minds of carriers and drivers nationwide.
