💗🔨 A big thank you to Entergy Louisiana for joining us for at Women Build this past Wenesday!

Employees from Entergy offices and plants across the area came together to lend a hand on the future home. From sheathing, putting up interior walls, and leveling dirt, their hard work and teamwork helped move this home one step closer to completion! 🏡

We’re grateful for Entergy Louisiana’s continued support of Habitat for Humanity and for the employees who gave their time and energy to help make affordable homeownership possible in our community. 💪💕

🏡🎉 Another Habitat mortgage PAID IN FULL!

Congratulations to Melina who officially paid off her Habitat mortgage yesterday!

After evacuating New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, Melina came to Baton Rouge with her family, looking for a fresh start. Through Habitat's 2006 Foundation Build, she worked toward a home of her own where she could raise her two children.

Nearly 20 years later, we're excited to celebrate Melina becoming mortgage-free!
Please join us in congratulating Melina on this special milestone! 💚

✨Volunteer Spotlight!!

Taylor Ort has been volunteering at Habitat with Solstice for the past 3 years. His favorite part is seeing everyone work together as a team to achieve a common goal. He encourages those interested in volunteering to “go for it”, no matter their background or skillset.

“Working with Habitat has been awesome and the people I’ve gotten to work with have been top notch! It’s amazing to see so many people willing to pitch in and have a hand in making a forever home for a person or family that will appreciate it!”

Thank you to Taylor for your hardwork, dedication, and high spirits on the build sites. Volunteers like you make our mission possible.

🏠🔨 Our 21st Annual Women Build is officially underway!

We’re kicking off this year’s build with Team Hammer Time, led by Lynn Clark! 💪💕

Lynn served as Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge’s Executive Director for 20 years before retiring in 2024. She helped launch Women Build at our affiliate, making it especially meaningful to have her and Team Hammer Time back on the build site to start another year!

Since 2005, Women Build has brought thousands of women together to help local families achieve affordable homeownership. We’re grateful to continue that tradition with such a dedicated group of volunteers.

A huge thank you to Team Hammer Time and all of our Women Build sponsors, teams, and supporters for making this year’s build possible! 💚

A special thank you to the LSU Greek Life, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make this moment possible. Your support goes far beyond building a house, creating opportunities for lasting stability and brighter futures.

🏡 Women Build starts THIS WEEK! 💗 🔨

A big thank you to Holmes Building Materials for helping us kick things off! Their team rolled up their sleeves at Saturday's pre-build, helping prepare the site for construction.

Beyond volunteering, Holmes generously donated materials to build the walls for the home and has contributed valuable materials to our Habitat ReStores. These contributions help reduce construction costs and support affordable homeownership opportunities for local families.

💙 Thank you, Holmes, for making an impact both on and off the build site! We're grateful for your partnership and support of Habitat's mission!

What a great day at TopGolf FORE! Habitat!

Last Friday, we had our biggest turnout in five years, and we couldn't be more grateful for everyone who came out to make it such a memorable event!

A very special thank you to our Roof Sponsor, Baton Rouge Telco Federal Credit Union, for playing such an important role in making this year's event possible!
Since 1936, Telco has helped individuals and families across Southeast Louisiana work toward their financial goals. That commitment goes hand in hand with Habitat's mission of making safe, affordable homeownership possible for local families. We're grateful for their generous support of TopGolf FORE! Habitat and for helping us continue that work in our community.

To all our sponsors, supporters, and guests, thank you for showing up, having fun, and supporting Habitat's mission. We couldn't do what we do without the support of our community!

We can't wait to see everyone again next year! 💙💚
