S.A.F.E. Place Advocates are wearing purple today to honor victims and stand in solidarity with survivors of domestic violence. Today and every day, we see you and we believe you. 💜

Awareness is more than a color. It is a public commitment to building person-centered communities where everyone has the right to live free from violence and exploitation.

Did you wear purple today? Show us in the comments.

Today, we wanted to take a moment to thank our 2026 Domestic Violence Awareness Month Partner, Motor Shop Electrical Construction Co.! 💜

Motor Shop Electrical Construction Co.'s commitment to raising awareness about domestic violence extends well beyond October. Motor Shop provides S.A.F.E. Place resources for employees and raises awareness through our outreach stickers on job sites. Their company and its leadership are fierce advocates for both prevention and intervention, which is why we were so incredibly grateful to partner with them for DVAM.

Thank you, Motor Shop, for all you do for survivors, S.A.F.E. Place, and our community!

As we kick off the weekend, we’re sharing a few ways our community is physically Watering Where You Heal.

Maybe this weekend is the perfect time to try something new, like taekwondo. Or perhaps it’s time to revisit a favorite book, tend to your garden, or explore one of our local trails.

It's always the perfect time to do something for the first or restart a beloved hobby! 💜

As part of our campaign “Water Where You Heal,” we played self care bingo in shelter yesterday! 💄📚🚶‍♀️

The bingo sheets featured various ideas for self care, like repeating affirmations, going for a walk, or doing your makeup. For prizes, we had goodie bags with self care supplies!

Thank you to our Shelter Advocate Lily for planning this event for our clients! 💜

The grass can become greener wherever we choose to nurture it.

This month, we're asking our community how they “Water Where You Heal.” A mom from Harper Creek shared with us that she is watering where she heals mentally by fostering a connection with nature by going outside or even just caring for her houseplants.

How do you water where you heal? Share how you do at the link in the comments! 💜
