🌎 G.A.T.E. Family Night: Passport to Innovation! 🌎
Our G.A.T.E. students and their families enjoyed an exciting evening of learning, creativity, and exploration at our first annual G.A.T.E. Family Night! 🌍
The evening began with a short presentation led by our district-wide gifted lead teacher, Mrs. Amee Lewis, offering practical tips to help parents better understand and support their gifted child. Families then received a take-home bag featuring a globe and a Biscoff cookie before setting off on a journey around the world through interactive stations!
✈️ Families explored countries through the Guess in 10 Countries game, learned about and built a replica of The Pyramid of Djoser inspired by Egypt, discovered Egyptian hieroglyphics, created origami inspired by Japan, matched famous world landmarks, and captured memories at our photo booth. Students also collected fun fact sheets about Egypt and Japan to continue their learning at home! 📸
From solving challenges to creating and discovering together, the evening celebrated curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and the joy of learning as a family. Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make this event special!
