Looking for a frightfully fun Halloween adventure in Bay City, Texas? Something wicked is waiting at Riverside Park!

The Bay City High School Class of 2027 Project Graduation invites visitors and locals to experience the Forest of Fear Haunted Wilderness Trail! Get ready for spooky surprises, live actors, animatronics, concessions, and plenty of Halloween thrills, all while supporting our local graduating seniors!

🎨 CALL FOR ARTISTS: Those we carry with us✨

The Bay City Public Library and Día De Los Mu***os Festival: Bay City, Texas are inviting artists of ALL AGES and experience levels to be part of a meaningful community art exhibition and public judged competition. ✨

Create one original Día de los Mu***os inspired artwork honoring remembrance, ancestry, cultural traditions, family stories, folklore, flowers, animals, skeleton imagery, or another meaningful interpretation of those we continue to carry with us.

Accepted artwork includes:
🎨 Painting
✏️ Drawing
🧵 Textile or fiber art
📸 Photography
🖼️ Mixed media
🗿 Sculpture
And other visual art forms

Artwork must be original, family friendly, ready for display, and connected to Día de los Mu***os or the exhibition theme. Each artist must also submit a short 50 to 100 word reflection.

Entry forms, complete rules, and required acknowledgments are available at the Bay City Public Library.

🏨 Working Together to Strengthen Tourism in Matagorda County

Today, local hotel partners gathered for our Hotelier Roundtable to connect, collaborate, and share ideas that help strengthen the visitor experience across our community.

We were pleased to welcome Texas Hotel & Lodging Association, Jackson Olesky, who provided valuable insight on legal topics affecting the hospitality industry. Hotel representatives also had the opportunity to network with one another and meet with the Visit Bay City team to discuss ways we can continue working together to support tourism and our local lodging community.
