Bay Pines VA Healthcare System Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, delivering world-class health care to Florida Veterans since 1933

For as long as she can remember, Wendy Roberts knew she wanted to be a mom. Then two years after welcoming her first child, her family's world was rocked as they faced the tragedy of two pregnancy losses, back to back.

Healing was not linear, but Bay Pines VA's Chaplain Service and Women Veteran Program was here to support the Roberts family as they coped with their grief.

On Oct. 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bay Pines VA will host our inaugural Perinatal Loss Symposium to support Veterans, their loved ones, and providers who have had to navigate this type of grief.
