Mother Nature had other plans for us this Saturday, but PAW*FEST is still happening!

🎶 In partnership with Wednesdays at the Depot

We’re excited to bring PAW*FEST together with Wednesdays at the Depot for an evening of live music, pet adoptions, community organizations, vendors, food, raffles and more—all in support of the Friends of the Animal Shelter and Rotary’s efforts to End Polio Now.

A single blood donation can make a lifesaving difference! We invite you to stop by the Waveland Library on Monday, October 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and help save lives by donating blood.

🧙‍♀️🎃 What a wickedly wonderful time at the Waveland Library! 🎃🧙‍♀️

Our Wicked Hat Workshop was a spooktacular success! Patrons got creative decorating witch hats just in time for Halloween. We provided the hats and supplies, and some participants even brought their own hats to personalize. The results were amazing, with so many unique and creative designs!

Everyone had a great time crafting, chatting, and getting into the Halloween spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this fun afternoon! 🖤💜

You gave $11,035. We doubled it. Our children win. 📚❤️

Thanks to our generous community, the Library Foundation of Hancock County received $11,035 in September donations for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. With the Foundation’s dollar-for-dollar match, that total became an incredible $22,070.

That’s enough to fund 8,500+ books for Hancock County children!!!

Even better, this support allowed United Way to reopen registration, and in September, more than 100 children enrolled, bringing our county total to more than 600 children registered in the program.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children from birth to age five receive one free book each month mailed directly to their home.
